Seminar Courses
Our department offers three small-group seminar courses:
- Seminar in Evolutionary Biology (EEB494H1)
- Seminar in Ecology (EEB495H1)
- Seminar in Behaviour and Behavioural Ecology (EEB496H1)
EEB494H1, 495H1, 496H1 are seminar courses that are advanced in level and broad in scope, emphasizing the integration of related sub-disciplines, critical thinking, and the synthesis of ideas often crossing disciplinary boundaries. Fundamental to these courses are group discussions among peers, facilitated by faculty, and student presentations. Students generally enrol in these courses in their Fourth Year. Students wishing to take more than one should contact the Ecology & Evolutionary Biology Undergraduate Office.
Each course has up to 12 students and is taught by a team of EEB faculty.
Students must complete and submit an application form to take a seminar course. Applications will continue to be accepted until the courses are full however space may be limited after the initial deadline has passed. The deadline to apply for a seminar course is June 28, 2012.
*Please note that the EEB Undergraduate office will continue to accept applications for the three seminar courses until the start of classes and/or each is full.*
