Dr. Marie-Josée Fortin Honored with Prestigious 2024 Massey Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Spatial Ecology

The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology proudly celebrates University Professor Marie-Josée Fortin, a world-renowned spatial ecologist, who has been awarded the distinguished 2024 Massey Medal by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. This honour recognizes her groundbreaking contributions to the field of spatial ecology and her innovative approaches to understanding complex ecological patterns and processes.

Established in 1959 by the Massey Foundation, the Massey Medal is awarded annually by the Society to recognize outstanding career achievement in the exploration, development or description of the geography of Canada.
