Professor Jacqueline Sztepanacz wins prestigious Dobzhansky Prize
Professor Jacqueline Sztepanacz is this year’s Dobzhansky Prize winner from the Society for the Study of Evolution. The prize is awarded annually to recognize the outstanding research accomplishments and future promise of a young evolutionary biologist. Using the fruit fly as a model system and cutting-edge statistical approaches, Professor Sztepanacz’s work focuses on understanding the nature of genetic variation, how it evolves, and its role in constraining and/or enhancing adaptive evolution.
