About

Guest Speaker: Lauren Shoemaker, University of Wyoming
Hosts:  Ben Gilbert and Don Jackson

We are pleased to introduce our final seminar speaker, Prof Lauren Shoemaker from the University of Wyoming. Lauren uses theory, experiments and sampling data to understand how spatial and temporal heterogeneity determine the distribution of species diversity in nature. Lauren’s research on species coexistence and host-disease dynamics have had an outsized impact in ecology, and was recently recognized through the Ecology Letters Early Career Research Award.
