The panel will spend the first hour presenting expert opinions followed by an hour of an interactive discussion with the audience focusing on:
(1) a review of recent policy changes and program cuts that impact freshwater research and protection in Canada, and discuss the implications of such changes;
(2) a discussion of the urgent need for scientists to provide needed information to the public and advocate for freshwater protection; and
(3) a demonstration of how scientists can get involved in the shaping of public policy
