Research

Our research lies at the interface of genomics and plant evolution. We use genomic data to address longstanding questions about plant evolution, and in turn use evolutionary theory to gain insights into genome structure and function. Recent work has focused on the evolutionary forces driving Y chromosome degeneration, the genomics of adaption in agricultural weeds, and the evolutionary dynamics and consequences of transposable element activity.
