Lillian E. Darker Graduate Scholarship

The Lillian E. Darker Graduate Scholarship in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology was Eetablished by the Estate of the late Grant Dooks Darker. It is awarded to a graduate student in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in a program of study leading to a Master’s or PhD in some aspect of mycology, and/or a student needing assistance to attend meetings, conferences, fieldwork or other kinds of travel related to studying fungi. 

Lillian E. Darker

Lillian Elfeda Church married Grant Dooks Darker in 1938. Lillian pre-deceased her husband Grant. When Dr. Darker died in 1979 he bequested a scholarship in Botany in the name of his wife, Lillian Elfeda Darker.
